New 230 Select Owner

My wife and I just bought a 2007 230 Select with a 350 mag with bravo III outdrive. Wakeboard tower, captains call exhaust, polk momo sound system, perfect pass, smart craft system. The boat had 31.5 hours on it and came with a never used tandem axle galvanized trailer. The only issue we have found is it had a busted front nav light and there is some issue with the trim sensor which I discovered through the the smart craft system. Any insight into this issue would be great, the trim system works but the gauge does not move when trimming the boat out. Sea trial went great and we gave 28K. Did we get a good deal, and does anyone have any insight on the trim sensor issue? Thanks for all the help!!!

No info to help on the trim sensor, but I think you got a great deal. I'm looking at the same boat with 10 more hours, no tower, no trailer and the dealer is asking $32K. If they would take $26-27K, we'd probably be in it.

There's a calibration you can do through the smartcraft menu. I don't know it offhand, but I believe the procedure is in the smartcraft menu.

Also, take a look at the sensor to see if it looks alright. It's mounted on the side of the drive, where the drive pivots up/down. It looks like a small hockey puck.

The sensor may be out of position too. There are two screws on the side. Loosen it with someone at the helm and while the ignition is in the on position(engine not started) just so the gauges are alive, rotate it and have whoever's at the dash tell you what the gauge reads. Adjust it according to the position of the drive and tighten it back down. It may have been left out of position.
