Need your thoughts.

They make a Gripper paint that bonds to just about anything. We use it mostly for painting Aluminum which is about the hardest thing to paint and have it stick. This is used as a "primer" before final color.

If you want to paint over a laminate, PM me and I will get you in touch with my scenic artist. She knows everything paint.

For cheap wall or door skins, I would also check out a product called Marlite. Comes in many colors and is a very durable lightweight product.

'I wiped it down with acetone then lightly sanded it with my Fien Multimaster. Only time will tell. I did pick at a area that I believe has thoroughly dried and it looks to have bonded pretty well'

'Think she should scuff it down with a fine sandpaper before hand??? '

It looks like she did, and I agree a good step.

Just a thought, I disassembled my bulk heads and installed new laminate. It looks great and holds up excellent!!

PICTURES?????

I would paint that galley wall closest to the door. Leave the spice rack wood, paint the door and leave the trim wood. I like the "clean" look. You don't have to chose a Bright white, you can go with a Linen white, softer. When down-under, it can seem dark, so for the galley it might be nice. Especially since this is a work area (cooking!) and you need to see well. But, it's up to you. Best wishes.

Well I think I have this aspect tied up. That will be all the white paint I shall use in the boat. I went on and put in the last bit of head liner and trim there.

It was just enough but not to much that it was gaudy....

Thanks for all the help guys........
You all are the GREATEST !!!!!:smt038

Looks very nice Heather. I think the sharp contrast between the white and the dark trim provides a very nice accent, actually brings out the beauty of the trim. Great job!

I agree
Very nice, you might also consider new white/off white, color cushion/s background with a soft brown accented print to match your brown wood to break up the interior look a littlle, Speaking from a profesional eye........:smt001

I have said I will. The last thing I want is new carpet and cushions in there while there is paint, stain and varnishes being flung around the cabin.
