A friend of mine is looking at this boat. I was hoping some of you could look at the ad and give us some feedback. I noticed a few things but want to see if others notice them as well. Your help would be appreciated. What do you think of the asking price and what do you think a fair price would be. This is at a non sea ray dealer.

Thanks

I tend to think a 5.0 in a 22 bowrider is a bit small but that's just me. I'd prefer a 5.7 or 350 mag. What's going on with that vinyl?

It seems pretty clean. Outdrive looks good. Ohio boat so probably all freshwater. I may be up at Lodders tomorrow if you want me to take a peak.

I don't really know about the asking price/value of the open bow set...
Looks clean- drive and engine look clean enough(they are photos though) ~100 hrs is a little low but not prohibitive but I would guess it's due for impeller and bellows on the drive.
I also like that they list some of the bad with the good- point out the vinyl issues and nicks- Makes me think that at least you might have an honest dealer- not trying to cover up everything...

Take it for a drive with some weight to check the power package.

+/- for the roller trailer- I have heard they are not good for the hull because of point pressure instead of bunks- Don't know for sure.

Shooting from the Hip I probably wouldn't go over $22k-
Just my opinion

Well based on what I've been hit with lately for MS Judy sounds high for a 7 year old boat(Grin) The low hours are more of worry than a well maintained higher hour boat. How long has it been sitting?? Is 15 hours a season really all you would use a boat in OH? I'm sure you would be looking at quite a few items that need to be replaces(Impeller, Batteries, Hoses, etc, etc)

trailer is not roller trailer. It is a RollsAxle trailer, which is a brand. I'm interested in what people think of that brand and match to the boat. specifically I'm concerned it only has 2 boards holding the boat up. look how the trailer extends past the end of boat in the pictures. I don't know how good they are. here is their site.

I have the 5.0 with the BIII and find it is quick out of the hole and nice top speed.

I had the same size boat/motor in a Rinker and it went ~43MPH with 2 people and full tank. I would not go by the 2010 price referenced in the ad as that is the list price which is way off for comparison purposes. I think the price is high also

plug it into a used boat site and you get this...nadaguides.com give a little room for options but I go with the earlier comment that low hours on this boat is a reason to price lower, not higher.
