Hey everyone, my first post, so please go easy.
I managed to puncture a hole in my fuel tank while I was performing a repair in the bilge. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement tank and am hoping for some advice.
I contacted both SeaRay and Moeller (the supplier of the original tank). The Moeller part number is FT5023-1 but they no longer offer it. Does anyone know who might have that specific tank?
Does anyone know for sure that if I remove the engine, then the tank will have enough room to slide aft, and be able to be removed from the engine bay?
Can anyone recommend a metal fabricator that can quickly fabricate a metal tank?
Anyone been through something similar, and can offer advice?
Thanks!

You could take measurements and order either an in stock metal or plastic tank online. You’d be amazed at the options.

There are also tank repair kits out there. It sounds like a repair would be easy to access. No harder than making the hole was.

Thanks for the reply, Soulshine. I am having a fabricator provide a quote for a metal tank, and we'll see what they come back with, but if I could find the OEM tank it would save time and money.
I've looked into repairs, but I'm not finding any solutions that I would be 1000% confident in.

I would take a good and careful crack at a repair long before I pulled my engine and tank.
