Hey guys i have 2001 Sea Ray 190 BR with a 5.0L EFI. My ignition switch for the key up at my controls keeps falling out. It is stripped the little plastic nut that keeps from not falling out behind the dash. Also the key will just keep turning round and round if you keep turning it just have to find the sweet spot to start it. I am wondering what is the part# for a whole new ignition switch?? Will this part#1184274 work for my boat or not? I came across this ignition switch for a cheap price. If so what is correct one and best place to get one? Thanks guy

I got a new one for less than $30 from my Sea Ray dealer. Don't rember if it had 3 or 4 poles. My 2001 180 did the same thing as yours. Easy fix.

What do you have now? Get the same thing.

+1. Just get the same thing. Take the ignition switch off, take it to your dealer, and get a replacement. Make sure you label your wires when you take them off the back of the switch. Your dealer should have the part in stock. It's not worth messing around with something that might work. I can't deal with "might work" when out on the water.

I'm sure you can stop into West Marine or any other boating store and find the exact replacement right on the shelf. I found one for my old '95 a few years ago that way.
