need some help with electronics

This is only my second year on the water and I need some help on how to set-up my boat while on dock power versus on the water. I have a 2003 Sundancer (no generator). First of all, does my AC Converter need to be switched "on" to run the battery charger while connected to dock power?

Second- while I'm anchored out and running the radio or tv should i be switching a battery off to properly store power for starting the engines?

#1 yes. At least on my boat, yes.

#2 no. Your batteries should be electronically isolated with an emergency start switch at the helm to parallel the banks should you run one low while anchored.
