Need replacement DVD player for 2007 280DA

My DVD player in the cabin (connected to pull-out TV) stopped reading DVDs at the end of this season and I am having trouble finding a replacement that works; I did try cleaning the player. My original unit is a Pyle PLD131, "single DIN", with RCA type connections and a 4 pin female power connector. The unit has been long discontinued and the manufacturer cannot repair or replace it.

In general, I am having trouble finding single-DIN DVD players, most are larger now with big displays.

I purchased a Boss DVD unit on Amazon and it would not power up. Obtained a second unit and had same result. Note, the original unit powers up fine but will not read DVDs. Very strange.

This shouldn't be this hard. Any suggestions? Or, if anyone upgraded and has their original DVD player, I am your buyer.

I saw that fusion has a new stereo unit with a dvd player in it,was thinking with the removal of my old tv/vcr and the cd player went nutso in the stereo a 32-39" flat panel and the new fusion i would be back in bussiness with a bit of wireing magic, or mabey its bluetooth as well?

New connectors require simple cut and butt splices. It comes with a set of "keys" for removal. Buy the Square Trade warrenty for $9.95. I had to replace it once...

Hands Down Fusion, mine rocks incredibly even after a year! You wont be disappointed, BUT go with the MS-700AVI because the integration is incredible. And down the road you will be SOOOO happy you did.

I will second the fusion brand only thing the AV 700 retails for about $700 so unless it's part of a larger audio/video upgrade its probably not on the menu.

wait for a bit before buying Fusion. The new models coming have had "help" from Garmin in the design so might be more reliable.

And yes the old ones are not super reliable with very high return rates. (Multiple threads on THT... just search for Fusion - usual issues - Display fogs, display stops working, unit overheats a lot, unit dies)
