is there somewhere I can attach a hose and flush the system?

2. where exactly are the drain pans and what do I need to put in them to prevent clogs and keep them clean?

I am a total newbie to having AC units on board and need a walkthrough if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Easy...
1. CLOSE A/C Seacock/Pickup (Important if boat is in water, or you will sink). It is usually in the Bilge. Refer to your specific boat's user manual to locate.
2. Remove hose going from A/C Seacock/Pickup to the pump. (I usually unhook my hose on the pump side by the strainer between Pickup and pump). Flush with fresh water. (I don't have an adapter, but the hose from our dock spigot butts up nicely against the hose without too much spray). Run about 15-30 seconds and you should be good-to-go.

I open the sea cock and put the garden hose to the discharge thru hull. Followed by compressed air. Done
