need help with vacu flush

Hey guys, I have a 05 280 sundancer. The vacu flush system will only flush sometimes. The white plastic valve in the toilet will not open, when pedal is pressed down. Any ideas would be helpfull thanks scott

I just had to replace the seals on my toilet as the bowl water would leak out. It was suggested to replace the flush ball (white ball) as well. The ball connects to a "rod" that also allows water into the bowl. This fits into a spring assembly that the flush lever connects to. Sounds like the spring assembly has gone bad. The seals, ball, and spring assembly are universal parts for the vaccuflush toilets. I got my parts at www.sealandsanitation.com. Hardest part of job was working in cramped space of the head. The process is very straight forward and takes about an hour. Instructions come with the parts. Problem is working in the small space when you are a big guy. And, you are working with toilet parts so disposable gloves are a plus!

Take a ride over to Essex and talk to these guys. They are one of the largest Vacuflush parts dealers in the area. 2 brothers run the place. One of them is the "potty" guy. The 1st brother sold me the wrong part. I called back the next day and spoke to the other brother who told me to come by and pick up the correct part on my way to the boat. The wrong parts were still on my boat. When I got there, they had the part sitting on the counter waiting for me. They just handed me the new part and told me to bring the wrong one back when I had the chance. They told me to leave it in the mailbox if they were closed when I got there. Considering that I had paid cash, and they didn't even know my first name, I thought that was pretty cool of them. They suprised the heck out of me. The new part worked fine, and I left the old one in their mailbox on the way home Sunday night.

Nice folks over there. The one brother really knows his s#%t. Literally.
