I was given a present of a detailed cabin and interior areas, but unfortunately the marina left the cabin hatch open and being located in South Florida we had 5 inches of rain in 1 hour. Now I would like to replace the cabin carpet which is now dry, but stained from the episode. Any idea where I can get the replacement. There are tons of sites for cockpit carpeting but none for the interior. My wife's "present" turned out to be a disaster.

Offhand, I can't think of a source. But...

Getting the old carpet out will be a huge PIA! That carpet is glued down REAL GOOD! Before you go through all that hassle, try cleaning it with a mold/mildew remover. There are "boat" specific ones, but Tilex works, as well. If it's still not working, try a mild solution of bleach/water.

Better yet, why doesn't the marina clean it since they left the hatch open?

Another idea... do you have carpet runners? If not, it's likely they will cover up just about everything on the horizontal surface.

I'll have to agree with what Lazy Daze says--That carpet is going to be extremely difficult to remove and it will be quite the mess. I would definitely try cleaning it first! If you decide to tackle the project of replacing the carpet, check out www.corinthianmarine.com . Corinthian Marine sells inexpensive glue-in carpeting by the foot, as well as custom snap-in Aquamats.

Your profile does not say what year your boat is but I have just purchased replacement Sea Ray cabin carpet from Bill Brownlow at Russo Marine. If it is new enough you may be able to get the SR carpet. I was looking to replace only certain pieces of carpet so I needed the original carpet.
