So at the end of last season I slipped while cleaning my Arch and slid down the windshield and smashed my vent window into a million pieces. I only lost one piece of the mounting hardware.
I called Taylor Made in New York and the priced me $500.00 plus shipping for the glass and $50.00 for the piece of hardware and another $60.00 for shipping. So I ordered it. When I called back to find out where the glass was, I was told they could not sell it to me and I would have to go through a dealer. I called my dealer this spring and had them price it. The cost for the glass is now $2855.00 plus $85.00 for the hardware plus $80.00 for shipping and tax.
Ok we are talking about a single piece of glass with 8 round holes and a slight curve. Approximately 41" long and 9" tall with a slight green tinge and no frame
I have spoken with about 10 glass shops and another few Lexan companies. The glass company's in my area are not interested in doing it. I have sent the pictures, diagrams and anything else they need. The Lexan and acrylic companies don't want to mess with it unless I take the boat to them.
I really need some help here guys. I am attaching several pictures that may help visualize what I am looking for. If anyone has any idea where I could find this or how I can replace it. Please let me know
Thanks in advance
