Hi I got a 1979 SeaRay SRV-220 cuddy cabin ( not the over nighter) it has a 5.7 L MerCrusier in it and I need some parts, as old as it is I can not see read the serial #
it does have the fireing order of a chevy 18436572 but I need to know what engine it is so I can order parts but searay has no info for that late of year boat
only a picture of it new when looking at pdf but no engine specs or info...

I will buy the first round to who ever can help me

thx John

Be specific on exactly what parts your looking for. SBC were the same for a long time

There are tons of these out there, finding parts should be easy without a S/N. WHAT parts to you need?

I need to replace starter but im finding 5 different one that could possibly be the right one and they vary in price from 51.00 to 167.00

its so rusted I cant read it

there's 2 choices. Are the 2 bolts that hold it to the block in a straight line or are they staggered. that's all you need to know

Take the thing out and match it up to a new one, how much of a problem is that? Would you like us to take it out for you??????

Scoflaw has it, standard tourque 2 bolts across 12-3/4 flywheel high torque bolts staggered 14 in flywheel.. remove it and match it up. if it has the old series wound housing replace it with new smaller wet magnet starter motor and get the mounting bolts for it also as they are shorter.

I like arco starters staggered pattern HIGH TOURQUE 14 IN FLYWHEEL ARC30470 BOLT KIT ARCMBK450

Would you? cause that would be swell :) lol
