Need help identifying this part

I found this laying on the floor in my cabin by the bathroom door and then found a 2nd one outside on the front deck. Can't figure out where they came from. Any thoughts?

Looks like a part from some kind of locking mechanism. Maybe a deck hatch?

I used to toss extra parts around my younger brothers jeep in high school when he wasn't around. Try to get him worked up. Never worked though cause having left over parts was nothing new for him..... lol

I thought it had something to do with the bathroom door, but didn't check the cabin door. Thanks for the suggestion I will take a look when I am back on the boat later in the week.
