I am in flight school and don't have time to do the rebuild myself, so I'm looking at options. I either want a local shop to rebuild it, or just purchase a new/reman long block.

I'm looking for recomendations for local shops in the pensacola/milton area.

Ideally I would like to spend as little as possible without sacraficing quality. Thanks for your time.

Boating buddy of mine owns an auto repair shop & uses Jasper rebuilts when needed. He mentioned Jasper has marine engines also & later I saw a new one in a crate at Eriksen Marine on Lake Travis, AUS, the largest marine repair facility so I assume they're legit. Good luck.

I've actually been to the Jasper rebuild facility...pretty flippin' impressive. Just my $.02, but unless you had someone you really knew, that really cared about the project and had the time, tools and temperament to do the work, it is hard to cost justify having an individual shop rebuild instead of just swapping blocks. The difference is not whether the shop CAN do the work...they probably can. However the production line facilities do it all day, every day, with appropriate test equipment to be sure everything is perfect the first time.
