I have a 2005 340. It has the accessory switch clusters at the helm. As I understand it, these are all wired in bundles that lead to somewhere - bilge? I just installed 2 12V Halogen swim platform lights, and need to connect the "Aft Accessory" switch to the lights. I think that's the right switch.

What do I need? Wiring, Fuse?

Where do I begin? Under the helm, in the bilge? How much of this system is already wired?

Found this on 320 thread: Which position is this on the 340 switch block?

The Searay Factory option is A Barnegat Under swim platform light 12v P/N QL-SPL. It is sold through Overtons for 134.99 each. Both Searay and Overtons were on back order last year when I bought mine so I bought direct from the manufacturer. I paid about 112.00 each.
The PDF of the company price sheet is BarnegatLt.com/bllpl.pdf.
The through hull fitting was in stock at our local marine store. You will still want to seal this up both sides for good measure. On your dash are accessory switches. I do not have it in front of me but, I thought it was accessory # 2 that lit the Swim Platform lights. Cheat like I did and go look at one in the dealership w/ the option.
Turn the batteries on and check the switch. Open the hatch and look on the bulkhead wall in front of the engines. You will see the cable riunning from the stren to the switch block. If that is not posible. I'll be running to storage in three weeks to get stuff off of the boat and I will take some digitals for you. We enjoy ours and the kids turn it on at the dock to feed fish at night. I thought about the underwater light but, spoke with Sea Ray engineer who said, they went with above water as to avoid the fowling they saw on in water lights.

Here it is for the next guy: The Aft Acc switch at the helm is a hot switch which is protected by a 15A fuse. The wire is Red/Vio (red with a violet stripe) and dead ends in the bilge. The Swim platform lights can be wired to this wire directly. I haven't located it yet, but I will let you know where I find it. I assume I run the ground wires from the lights to any grounding point?

The wire info is in the 340SDA owner's manual under the electrical schematics. One page shows that the Aft Acc switch led to a particular panel in the bilge. Another page shows that the Aft Acc wire is red/vio. You really have to look for the info, but it's all in there.
