So if you take your boat to Canada or Bahamas and back, you need this ??

karicol, I don't know about Canada but if you want to take advantage of the Local Boaters Option to the Bahamas you need it.

Ditto on Canada.
When we call in to customs after returning from Canada, after all the usual questions on where were you? what are you bringing back? etc. etc. they ask for you decal number.
If you do not have one,they supposedly charge you the same fee as the decal, and it's only good for that one time.
We go back and forth several times a year, so we get it up front, one time.
