Need advice on installing a anchor roller for a 2007 250 Amberjack

New guy on the forum who is about to get back to Destin Fl from a year long deployment to the Middle East. I have a 2007 250 Amberjack that I would love to install an anchor roller on however Sea Ray hasnt made this task very easy. The front deck curves slightly twoards the bow and isnt very conducive to a flat anchor roller. I was looking at getting a Windline anchor roller but im concerned about how to mount it. Any suggestions??

A year or two before yours, it was called the 245 Weekender and a bow roller was an option. I'm about 99% sure there were no physical changes to the basic hull/deck shape. An anchor roller was an option on the Weekender so you may be able to do it that way by buying it from your local dealer.

Do you simply want it to deploy and retrieve your anchor? Or are you thinking of installing an windlass or using the roller to store your anchor? The reason I ask is you'll also need to relocate the nav light and install another cleat on your deck if you're going to store the anchor there. It's not hard, but it may be worth more trouble than it's worth as the roller (the Sea Ray one, anyway) is not designed to store the anchor there. Honestly, it's actually easier to use the bow rail as your anchor roller instead of the little one that is normally used. Obviously, don't pull the chain across the rail - but the rope won't hurt it at all.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ill check it out. I honestly dont need a windlass, I would like one but dont really need one. I just want to make my life easier when deploying the anchor and retrieving it.
