Need a recommendation where to overnight in St. Louis with the boat behind the car!

We're planning a trip for just outside of Branson on Table Rock Lake. Of course the plan is to bring the boat with.

We want to break the trip up over two days so my three boys don't get too squirly while driving. The wife would like to stay in St. Louis proper; I'm not so sure there is anyplace near the Arch that can accomodate the boat hooked-up to the SUV. I'm actually having visions of a car porter peeling out to park the truck with the boat behind him :wow: !!

So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

This is the only place I can think of downtown. http://www.stlouisrvpark.com/ It's an RV park but they may let you drop the boat here overnight and then go to your hotel without toting it along to the hotel and around town. Give them a call and see if they can help you out. If you decide to not spend the night in the downtown area, I would suggest staying in Alton IL. There you can also get a little boating in if you get there early enough in the day before leaving the next.

Can't help with places in downtown to stay. Lots of hotels along 44 west of St. Louis proper that would be ok.

Where are you staying on Table Rock? It's a great lake, and really big right now.

I stay at the hollidat inn in St. Louis, but it is about 10 miles or so from down town. You could probably stay at the new casino they put in by the arch. I think they have a hotel as well.
