Need a new GPS

So - the GPS which came with the boat died and wont stay powered on. It's an old Garmin which on power up says copyright 92-95 so I think it has definitely served it's time. I mainly use the thing to store locations so I can find wrecks, etc for fishing. I've looked at the current plotters and they are nice - but really are overkill for what I'd use them for. I see this Furuno GP32 which is what I have on my other boat. But if I'm getting something new I might as well get more features - has anyone used one of these Cobra units? It's only $400 right now.

Thanks - it's a GPS65 which says repair work no longer available.

Is that the model where the little tiny caveman chips a chart onto an etch a sketch screen?

(I had an eMap handheld that had a similar screen and it got me where I needed to go)

I'm so offended - I thought this was a helpful site where fellow Sea Ray owners assisted others...

ok - kidding - that's pretty funny and actually most of the time the etch a sketch screen wouldn't update correctly. It's really a blessing this thing has finally died except I'd rather spend the money on therapy so I can stay a member at this site....
