Need a boat towed from fl to chicago 37 sundancer has no trailer!! Any help would be appricated asking for a friend also if anybody has a trailer for sale for it let me know.

Whatever you do, don't use shipyourboatnow.com/shipyourcarnow.com -- Google them for horrible reviews (including mine). Long story short, they never showed up on pick up day, and fed me a bunch of excuses for the subsequent 3 days until I found somebody else.

I used Great Lakes Boat Haulers to move my boat from the NW corner of Iowa to Chicago. I cannot say enough great things about them -- very professional, the drivers gave me status updates a few times a day, etc.

They are based in Michigan, so I'm not sure how the pricing would work to fetch the boat in FL and bring it back, but I'd say it's worth a call.

Also, I'm not sure you want a trailer for a 37 DA -- that isn't exactly a boat one tows from lake to lake to lake. And storing that anywhere close to the city would be challenge because space isn't exactly wide open around here.

Joule Yacht Transport. They're based in St.Pete/Tampa Florida

I don't have a suggestion for the hauler, but all things equal, I would use the hauler that knows the area where you want it dropped.

See if you can find one of the haulers for Tiara who's heading back empty. Tiaras in Michigan and sure their trucking boats to Fla.

Joule either does or did the contract hauling outbound from Sea Ray's factories in Florida. They are pros and are quite experienced and their trailers are all low profile and set up for this type of hull/vessel.

They still haul the lion's share of factory deliveries. Larry Jensen is a great person over there.

Thank's Matt. I haven't seen one of their trucks here since Marina Max took over the sales office. THey shuffle inventory around from store to store and most inventory starts out elsewhere.

I do know that if you have the time and can coincide your need with where one of their trucks is delivering a Sea Ray in your area, you can usually get very good pricing on the backhaul to Florida from Joule. The down side is you have to have your act together and have the boat ready to load when the truck shows up because they are on a schedule. You won't have time to mess with canvas, removing antennae, etc. The boat needs to be out of the water on blocks and ready to pick up and put on the trailer.

Lastly, Sea Ray isn't involved in this type of a haul. You will contract directly with Joule, you have to handle your own insurance, logistics, etc.

Lockport Marina and Transport are a tremendous transport company. Very Professional. Had a Sundancer 390 shipped from Maryland to NB, Canada.

Lighthouse Transport moved me from Boston to Long Island... Very professional..

Called Joule Transport a few times and finally got a price. Sarasota to Delray roughly 250 miles, they quoted me 1700.00. I'll drive it back for that price.
