I ordered the nautica smart tabs for my 200 sun deck today. Any tips, tricks or advice on install?

There's some good information in this thread...

There are many more threads about this same subject. I used painter's masking tape to lay out, mark and then to drill through. Make sure you have a fresh tube of your favorite 4200 type sealant for every hole you make. Also, after you drill your holes, use a bit twice that size to chamfer the holes to help prevent cracking of the gel coat. Do this by hand, no drill.

Pretty simple install. Just take your time and think it through before you drill. On the Sundecks, the best location is on the flat part of the transom near the tie down cleats. I had a tough time with my 180 Sport due to limited space, but no issues on my 220 SD. I also went with the stainless steel tabs.

Measure twice and cut once. I broke a drill bit in the middle of my install and had to make a run to Lowes or else it would have probably taken about 30 minutes to finish.

I just want to say Nauticus and John the owner are great to work with. My actuators gave out after a very rough trip last year just a couple of months after my two year warranty had expired and they sent me new ones after I explained the situation and sent them back the old ones. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the company other than being a very satisfied customer.

Just take your time, watch the video on the Nauticus website, don't try to beat any records.

There are always people saying they did it in a certain time frame, just do it at your own pace that you're comfortable with.

I did mine a few days ago, I have to tell you I can't believe what a difference it makes in the boat's performance, hardly any time to get up on plane, the most significant difference is the low speed wander, it's virtually gone.

Good Luck and let us know how the install went.

Good luck

As everyone else has already said just take your time. I spent more time just looking at it delaying drilling the first hole into my perfectly good boat then I did actually doing the install. Good luck!
