I cannot for the life of me, find the receiver for the vip or v berth. There is a Bose remote labeled v-berth, 2 speakers on the walls up high, I've found an Amp and a sub underneath the bed. Does anyone happen to know where the receiver is located?

Thank You in advance

Isnt it your second zone?

Not sure what you mean by second zone. There is a receiver aft in the master. There is a receiver in the salon midships area. I also have a system up front. It has a separate remote. Which leads me to believe there is a third receiver somewhere.

Those are the 3 remotes

The system in the Aft and the system in the bow are just extensions of the system in the Salon. On the bow extension, if you choose FM radio, the feed is coming from the Salon system. However, if you choose FM radio from the Master, the FM comes from the receiver in the Master. The VIP does not have it's own receiver. Even though the master has it's own receiver, it's still an extension to the Salon system.

The Bose system on the 52DB has three zones and three RF remotes. The main remote has no display on it but the two for the remote zones do.
The primary zone in the solon has the main head unit (the receiver), the Acustomass amplifier/subwoofer (big black box) and the surround speakers.
The second zone is in the Master Stateroom
The third zone is for the aft deck area.

All of the remotes communicate with the main head unit - not the specific zones.

On the back of the main head unit are a couple of multi-pin jacks called "Main" and "BoseLink". The "main" goes to the Acustomass amplifier/subwoofer for the solon surround zone. The BoseLink jack gets daisy chained to the other zones (up to 14 zones if I remember correctly).

For the Aft Deck (Cockpit) area there is a Bose SA3 amplifier that powers the speakers out there that the BoseLink cable connects.
For the MSR area there is another Bose SA3 amplifier that powers a separate subwoofer and speakers and that is daisy chained from the other SA3 amplifier.

There are DIP switches in the Remotes and remote amplifiers to setup the "Room Code" so each zone remote can communicate with the head unit and the head unit knows which remote amplifier to assign to that zone.

The reason I had to learn so much about the system is - my dock neighbor kept finding his Bose system turned on in his boat and they would be listening to something then all of a sudden their system would change to something else. Same thing was happening to mine. We finally figured out both or our systems had the same codes in the RF remotes.

A good depiction of how the remote zones are integrated. I think there is an error in this Bose picture where the Room C Supplemental amplifier's BoseLink is connected to the OUT - It should be connected to the IN.

OK let me digest this and play around with it. There is a head unit in my master, which differs from your explanation. But you made no mention of the front v berths so I'm guessing it is a Zone in the salon. My cockpit setup has probably been modified because I have an Apollo 770 head unit at the helm. Again, thank you for your explanation and I will report back my findings
