Mystery bracket "no one can figue out"

Can anybody figure out this Mystery bracket ???

I own a 1986 Sea Ray 390 sedan sportfish and there is a "T" shaped aluminum bracket with a teak insert on the port side inside of the flybridge that nobody seems to knows what it is for. It seems to be on them all (83-87).:huh:

I may be completely wrong, but possibly a seat bracket? There may be an infill seat available for that model? It looks similar to my boats seat brackets, removable seat type
