Mysterious Mercathode System

Thanks... I have been all through the engine comp. and could not find anything. I thought maybe it was buried under the engine somewhere.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, so just let me know if I should start a new one for help. I've searched and couldn't seem to locate an answer to my question. On my older 91 SR SkiRay with 5.7 MerCruiser, can anyone help point me to where I might find the annodes on this boat? This is an inboard boat and I'm a first time owner so, very detailed information (read that as 'talk to me like a first grader') would be appreciated.
