Hello fellow boaters - I arrived home from work today to find my fall issue of the SeaRay Living magazine. I read the article about the mysearay.com wesbite. Yet another place for us to trade ideas; pics; thoughts; etc.

I went to the site and created a login. I found the site to be very slow and once I created a login, I didn't find anything to browse. I suppose the site is brandy new...

I thought I would start a thread here (my favorite site, btw) and see what other members thought.

Exactly my thoughs, takes a LONG time to load. Still pretty new though...

I went to register and was OFFENDED by the fact that you have to select your year and model. They only allow you to go back to 2001. I have a 1987 and 1989 boat and apparently, I'm not worthy! I'll pass until they allow the "elderly" boats into the club.

Yep, very slow. I've posted a couple message to Sea Ray, but have not got a response yet.

The article hype in Sea Ray Living made it sound like a very usefull web site but the actual site is of little use the way it stands. As far as I am concerned, Sea Ray ought to be very embarassed. :wow:

lame...very lame...and ditto on the older boats being excluded.

what is the point of the website? couldn't they just add that to their official website? The only thing I found useful was the sperry ad.

To me it just looks like a way to get your e-mail address and general location... Everything they offer can be found on the Sea Ray website. Some kind of marketing scheme I'll bet.

I don't get it. Aside from being able to read about a few boating events and searching for fellow boaters by zip code, what value does the site add? Come on Sea Ray, surely you can do better than this.
