It’s like what ever is in the winch pulling my shore power cable in has no grip. I tried cleaning the cable, but still doesn’t seem to be able to grab the cable to retract it. Anyone else have this issue?

Can happen if the drive wheel is worn and the cable is wet.
I had both of mine rebuilt a year or so ago. New drive wheels, springs (tension of drive wheel), and roller assembly.

There are also stacked plastic spacers (washers) that you can add or remove as needed to adjust the tension.
