My daughter came up with a couple great Christmas gift ideas. She made a calendar of our boat trip to Florida and did all the legwork for a book my in-laws gave me that has pics of all 6 of our SR's and a bunch of other favorite boating pics of mine. Each boat has a couple pages of pics. Both turned out fantastic. The book also captures how the kids have grown up over the years around our boats which is kinda neat too. Pretty nifty ideas I thought and she said they were easy and cheap to do also.

The calendar cover (I love you Dad...awwwww!)

Kids can be ok sometimes.

That's a wonderful gift that shows how much your kids remember their times with you boating. Priceless.

:smt038Great X-Mas gift. The ones that are made by a loved one have so much more signifigance and your daughter did a fantastic job. Great boating memeories, and a great way to remember each day.

What a great gift. The best thing about it is that she created it for YOU, it's not some mass produced item she bought on line.

Very cool!! Great kids represent great parents!

Thats a great gift. I wanted gift cards so I could but bot maintenance parts, lol which worked out well for me. The last boat I had the kids were all to young but now they are a great age and are very excited for the upcoming season, so am I

Our kids have been on the boat nearly every weekend from late April-September since they were born. We simply made it a family priority but we also tried to make it as enjoyable as we could for them so they would always want to do it and we wouldnt have to force them. My son is a freshman in college and he's finding other interests now but he always wanted to go to the lake--even though we have a 3 hour drive just to get to our boat. Could be because our boating family always included lots of girls his age and he somehow was the only male. My daughter is now done with her college coursework and will graduate after she completes an internship this spring. She doesn't make it down much with us anymore as she's focusing on her career and other interests. So I guess we're getting to the point where the 'ol lady and I will just sail off (figure of speech) into the sunset...which doesn't sound half bad either because she's still pretty smokin' ;)

That's awesome. My kids are pretty small now, 5,7 & 9. The boy's are already playing multiple sports and my daughter (the youngest) just completed her first season of soccer. That schedule had us running like lunatics every fall and spring, which really sandwiched and compressed our boating season. Last season I got off to even a later start because of maintenance issues that dragged into boating season. The kids LOVE the boat as much as playing their sports, probably even a little more. This spring they are only playing baseball which I will have no problem skipping a game on nice weekends to utilize the boat more. We definitely have some boating time to make for from last year. I have always been a water person and my kids are well on their way now also.

I hope to keep them into it for many years and hopefully sow that seed of love of the water in them to someday pass on to their children. Boating really is the ultimate family activity, unlike any other.

Just when they start to drive you insane.....they pull you back and warm your heart and soul! What a great gift!
