I had a table made for the cockpit, I think it turned out pretty well. It's teak, but has a urethane coating so it doesn't turn gray. I had them make it 20" x 36" when closed, and 20" x 60" when open. It is also height adjustable. Now I want to get a cover made for it.

That looks really sharp! Bet that sucker is a heavy beast

How do you plan on anchoring it to your deck?

Thanks,

It is heavy, I don't plan on anchoring it to the deck. It has little teak feet on each corner, I think with the weight it will just sink into the carpet and stay in place.

Now I am in search of couple of teak folding chairs, on the smaller side.

Greg, anchor that thing down, the carpet may keep it from sliding but wave action will knock it over. Looks heavy enough to damage your boat and or injure a crew member.

I guess it's possible, but I have a table similar in size and weight in the salon and that one has never been a problem. That one even has a smooth bottom. I will at least make sure it is down all the way while underway (to lower the COG).

Very nice! Who made it?

Thats beautiful.

If you are out in water that will make that table fall over from wave action you have worse problems than the table damaging something on the boat!

Wow, nice job guys! I have wanted a bigger table in my cockpit as well but Sea Ray wanted over $2000 for it. I can have it made locally for about $700. Based on your results, that seems the best way to go.
