Well after a bunch of looking, and selling my classic car, we finally entered the world of boats. I have been around boats for quite a while but this is the first one I have ever owned.

It is a 1983 Sea-Ray 245 SRV Cuddy, 5.7L Mercruiser. It is in great shape and has been owned by the second owner for 19 years at the marina we have our Summer place at. It has been meticulously maintained during that time. It was a pretty good deal and I didn't think I could pass it up. The water test this evening went great and now I own a boat.

Here are some pics.

I like!

Would that be a Weekender? Looks like it except for the flat rear deck?

On the rear bench - does the bottom flip up and then the back cushions raise and sit horizontal on the folded up bottom?

What is your slipmate? Looks like a mirror image.

Have fun & enjoy!

I am not sure, but in my looking around, a weekender seemed to have a different cabin. I have seen this configuration called a Cuddy. In the back the seat backs lift up and off, then the seat bottoms flip up against the transom, then the legs fold in and straps hold the stowed seat bottoms in place. The boat to my starboard is almost the exact same but the seat & interior layout is a little different. I have not yet talked to the guy, but I am sure I will.

Thanks all for the kind words. We are really excited to get out on the water a bunch this Summer.

Your new to you boat is the same as mine...... great shape!! Where at on Lake Erie are you at.... robert.

I couldn't tell if there was a galley and head. If not then you're right - a cc.
