20161014_055905.jpggreen blue.jpgSo after I built first design, I decided to retire it. I still have some for sale in the sale section. I designed these new trim tab and transom LED's. They are also super bright and am excited about putting them in the water. The first set just bolts right on to any Bennett trim tab, some would need a bracket. They are Blue in color. The second I just made for myself as a little extra light;) They bolt onto the transom and are blue and green. They could be turned on separate or together to make a nice aqua color. Not just finished with both sets yet, but here's a peek. These are not for sale..Well at least it's 2017...4 more months to go.

So how are you planning on running the wiring inboard? Just curious as I have always wanted transom lights underwater but don't want to drill through.

Is that SS or aluminum? Wouldn't galvanic activity be an issue?

5086 Aluminum. It's what boats are made of. The properties on this grade is much different from than standard off the shelf aluminum.

[h=3]5086 Aluminum[/h] 5086 - an aluminum alloy, primarily alloyed with magnesium. It is not strengthened by heat treatment, instead becoming stronger due to strain hardening, or cold mechanical working of the material. Since heat treatment doesn't strongly affect the strength, 5086 can be readily welded and retain most of its mechanical strength. The good weldability and corrosion properties in seawater make 5086 extremely popular for vessel gangways, and boat/yacht hulls.

Typical Uses
Typical uses for 5086 Aluminum include:
  • Seawater Applications
  • Vessel Gangways
  • Boat Hulls

Looks really interesting, I'm going to keep an eye on this project. Any general idea on cost for these? I have Bennetts, do the originals just bolt on to the lip of them? I'll go have a look at the thread on those too.

I'm going to install 2 waterproof grommets right near the trim tab on the bottom of the swim platform. That's what's so nice about the 2004. East access

No price sorry. If I do do it it would have to be in the 300's for the pair to a least give me lunch money. I'll post a pic in the tab this weekend.

I am interested in these, an all blue set for my the tabs on my 340DA. How is voltage regulation handled and what type of warranty do you offer on them?

I'm not selling them at this time. Sorry I wasn't specific. I'll keep you in mind if I decide to next season. The voltage is regulated using a LED Driver per light.

What lamps and drivers are you using for these if you don't mind me asking?
The lamps don't look familiar....
