I know it's not a Sea Ray, but I figured I'd show it off anyway!

I finally took delivery of my 1997 Larson 270 on Wednesday night after my survey and sea trial last week. I am happy to report the dealer took care of the entire trailer issue by installing a 3rd set of brake calipers on the last axle and new calipers on the other two sets. They also installed a new actuator and new brake lines. The trailer is like new now. The dealer also finished the entire punchlist that resulted from the survey. They seemed to be pretty thorough, although I haven't had much time to fully look over all their work.

Without further adieu.... The pics!! :smt038:smt038

I will be taking it out on Saturday for the maiden voyage. I still need to have a naming ceremony after everything shakes out OK.

Doug

Good luck Doug. Looks very nice. Too bad I couldn't talk you into a Sea Ray, oh well... maybe next time. Besides, we need a Larson owner on here. I hope everything goes well Sat. Keep us updated. Brian

Congrats! and the best of luck with the new boat. Hope you have a great season.

I'm happy to report that my maiden voyage was awesome! We traveled up the river about 20 miles and checked out a few coves and finally threw the anchor just outside the channel. I had 6 on board and we spent the afternoon just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. I practiced some docking with the boat in a marina near Neshaminy, PA. I was amazed at how much easier the boat is to control compared to my old 20' cuddy cabin. I believe the older cuddy had controls that weren't as smooth as the Larson. I could never go from forward to neutral to reverse in an attempt to spin the boat like I could this past weekend. I also noticed how the bow of the Larson cruises very level compared to a non-stepped hull.

All in all it was a great day and I can't wait for the next cruise.
