Time to slow down , sold the go fast boats and snowmobiles , This winter i will be stocking up on new electronics and goodies to make this boat ,my boat ! it is a 1990 250 da 330 hp 454, with 390 hours, bravo drive,trailer, hot water, inverter,charger ,stove,fridge, micro, sony cd,ipod player , 6 speakers, vhf

Nice boat. My boss had that same boat/same engine. You still have a "Go Fast" boat!

They really move out for a 25ftr.
 
No I sold my performance boat twin small block motors =620 hp really sucked the fuel and the g/f really didnt like going 70 mph, I am more interested in doing more weekend get aways and this boat fits the bill, , easily trailerable and comforts of home , and with the big block with a 17 pitch stainless prop im at about 43 mph according to the speedo, dont know actual speeds till i get a gps unit , sold that with the last boat , but it sure does feel like this boat is movin out , mid forties is fine with me ! I am in no hurry at all
 
The 17P is pretty steep for that motor. Whats your WOT rpms right now?...a 19P three or 4 blade should push you a bit faster with a lower cruise rpm...I'm using a 17P 4 blade cupped stainless at 4600rpms on my 270 and it weights more than the 250, Mike.
 
nice boat! I have her sister ship in maroon. We just completed a 2 year resto and updated everything. we too found a great low hour boat. best of luck with her, im sure you will be pleased.
 
Thanks , your maroon 250 looks great , ,this spring I plan on removeing all my upper stripes that have knicks and faded , and have the whole boat buffed out , and a new waterline stripe along with new bottom paint, Ive been staying on it non stop every weekend now the past month, , pulling it out next sunday , the boat is perfect size , ive had smaller and bigger , this 250 fits the bill ! now props ? what are you running ? wot im at about 4200 rpms at 43 mph , thinking i need a 19 p , but i do like my out of the hole with the 17 , any suggestions ? Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. I am running a Mirage 15.5 dia with a 17p, and I am running pretty similar to you. I was also thinking of stepping up to a 19 or 21. I was also thinking about a 4 blade. But like you said, I like the way the big girl comes out of the hole, surprises people every time. Let me know if you change around the props, I am very interested in the findings. Lucky you, I doubt your season is over, we just got 10 inches of snow!!!
