My marina got hit by a tornado

My friend Al just called me and told me....

Theres alot of boats flipped over & smashed windshields & trees down. :wow:.

He said the marina is a total wreck. :smt089

He'll send me some pics later today of the damage.

Best wishes Wayne. Here is hoping no one was hurt.

I’ve often felt that if in the same situation I would want no boat damage or a total loss. The worst possibility is a boat that has significant damage yet the insurance company feels it can be fixed.
 
Just got off the phone with Al. He said all of my englass [ sp ? ] is shredded. :smt089 other than that I'm good. :smt038

I'm still on the hard ... high and dry. :smt021
 
Our marina got hit this morning and the city of Guntersville, Al. is without power. Trees, power and phone lines down everywhere and the marina personnel are out accessing damage. I am trying to find out about our boat, but cell towers affected too. Winds were clocked at 80 mph and possible tornadoes. More bad weather heading our way this afternoon and tonight. Local TV says 250,000 without power statewide.
 
Hey guys, I hope all is well. I just ordered a Camper canvas from Harvard Marine, shoul dbe here in 7-10 days. I'll let you know how it goes if you find you need a new enclosure.

I agree. Glad to hear it was only some eisenglass and canvas. I think we are due to get the 2nd wave here tonight. Most of the stuff from last night and this morning went North of us. I hope everybody comes through all this ok!
 
I hope your deductible isn't too high Wayne. I wish something would trash my rear canvas so I don't have to pay as much as I will be paying.
 
Ken, The guy that runs the canvas shop at our marina owes me afew favors so I'm good. :thumbsup:

Its still somebody's pride and joy that got damaged no matter what kind of boat it is.. :smt001

Glad everyone's ok. I can't believe all of the thunderstorm activity this week.

That must be the same line we have been dealing with the last few days here. The marina i use was in direct path of a tornado Monday night. I have not heard if it got hit though. Im going to try and go down this weekend and see. Just glad my boat is still at my house now. Hope you all stay safe during these storms.
