ahoy guys, looking to compare notes with same boat. Is your steering hard to turn ? My other boat was Regal 20' IO. that was easy. whats your top speed ?

I only out 8hrs on it so far but I didn't notice any issues turning with mine. I am trying to remeber exactly but I think my top speed with the OEM prop was about 46mph. I changed the prop and went with one pitch down 4 blade because I bought the boat for water sports and usually have lots of people with us so I wanted the low end power of a lower pitch. It is a great boat, you will love it.

My steering is a little stiff. Not awful though.

I'm still on break in, so I don't have a top end speed yet.

Quick question, does your ignition need to be in the on position for the radio to work? Also, how do you remove the ski towbar?

I don't remember for sure regarding the stereo. I think mine is the same as yours. I never tried to remove the tow bar.

Ski tow bar... Look down into the cavernous storage area (where an engine normally would be). On the aft wall, at the bottom, in the middle, you'll see a cut-out. The ski tow bar extends all the way down to a fitting/sleeve there. There is one bolt that can be removed, then it slips out.

my friend just got the 19 SPX I/O. He can turn his key to the left (acc position) to play the radio while floating.

Greetings All. I took delivery of my 19SPX OB All Sport in April. Great boat. Lots of storage. Unfortunately. I have had it back to the dealer 3 times now. They couldn't get the radio to work, rigged up the memory wire to trolling motor but disconnected the live well pump wire in the process. Right front bow cushion had wadded up material protruding up on what was supposed to be a flat surface. Oh, and the trim strip around the big rear storage hatch was peeling off.

Other than all that, boat is good. Sea Ray is making good on all the problems.

Top speed so far was 51mph trimmed with only 2 people in boat. I just ordered a 4 blade 14.5 x 18. I hope to test it out soon.

Picked ours up yesterday and we had a lot of fun. Great boat and very roomy for a 19 footer. Jumped on plane fast and was very quiet with the OB. Still in break in but put about 4 hours on her yesterday. Steering is a little stiff compared to my I/O's, but I never had a outboard before so I'm not sure if it's "normal" or not. One thing I found strange was the 2 speaker covers aft are white but the 2 up front are black. To be honest I thought the boat only came with 2 speakers unless you got the upgraded stereo package, so I'm ok with that.

I really like the upgraded interior. Enjoy.

Curious if anyone has had to open up the storage area to get to the bilge pump? My float switch sounds as though it is stuck open but I didn't have much time to inspect it before leaving. It appears like a lot of unscrewing of the main storage area to get to it.

2016 19' SPX OB Picked her up about two weeks ago now. We have had it out three times so far. The boat rides great and is very roomy. Tons of storage with no engine in the rear compartment. We love it.
So far the issues we have had are minor. Fuel gauge does not work, hour meter does not work, and small issue with Bimini top. Will return soon for service.

I just had mine out for 3 days straight and logged 20hrs. It has been a great boat so far. We had 8-11 people (4 kids, the rest were adults) on it the whole time and never felt cramped. We did a ton of tubing and sking. I am glad I went to a four blade prop and went downhill pitch becasue that really helped when we were loaded up with people trying to get a sking up. I had it up to 49mph but that was going with a 5-6mph current. I can't say enough about how much storage there is.

Curious if anyone has had a notification on a service bulletin issued for certain 190 SPX OB's. Apparently my OB was mounted too low.

I have not received one but I will reach out to my dealer to see if mine is affected. Thanks for the heads up.

Remove the panel in the storage area under the rear seat. The tow bar is secured with some bolts below
