Hello all,
I am so happy I found this site. Nearly everyone around me has been a nay-sayer about buying a boat. Thankfully my wife is VERY supportive, and is looking forward to overnight trips on "TGIF".

Also I am a amateur musician with a home studio, and we got a little zany the other night, and wrote a song for our boat CD (think B-52s). If you need a good laugh have a listen at www.myspace.com/steviebmp3

We live in South Florida and i am keeping the boat at my Dads in Tampa. I took her on my maiden voyage at Lake Tarpon last weekend, near Tarpon Springs.

Take care and I look forward to more inspirations for songs :smt001

Congratulations... catchy tune...

Congrat's and good for you for not listening to the "nay-sayers"!

I encountered the same thing - all my friend telling me all the cliche sayings when we bough our first boat last December...

"It's a hole in the water you throw your money into..."
"The best 2 days in a boaters life are..."

I just smiled and said, thanks. We bought the boat and have been out 3 times and haven't regreted the purchase and expense yet. It's a great family time when we are out there!

Enjoy!
