I've started a new tradition in my familty which celebrates Mother's Day. Give me a minute. Take the time to treat your kid's mother (or that special mother in your life) to a nice, relaxing weekend, and explain to her how important it is that you both embrace her motherhood. Then, spend much of the weekend celebrating the very act which led to her motherhood. Hopefully, it wasn't artificial. That could hurt.
Make it such a wonderful occassion that she'll return the favor for Father's Day. Don't know about that part yet, but the rest worked for me. I've thought about re-naming the weekend, but that will have to kept between us boat Captain's - the mother may not appreciate the new name.
(Not recommended for your own, actual mother, obviously.)
