I have to admit that our house is much messier than the boat. Sometimes during the summer we have to force ourselves to not go to the boat until we clean the house. That sucks.

How many of us take more pride in our boat than we do in our house I know if I have frinds coming to the boat it has to be clean if they are coming to the house well lets just say you get what you get

I decided to pay a lawn service two years ago because I'd rather be on the boat than doing yard work.... as for the house, the closer my wife gets to actually doubling my salary, the more motivated to keep the old girls house clean and full of fresh home/fire house cooking.....

My wife use to say that if all the work around the house was not done by Thursday night that we could not go to the boat untill it was. . Maybe thats why I am single now.

River Rat - are you having any problems because of the floods? I saw that St. Louis is a mess.
Yes it is, but mostly just south of St. Louis. Although the boat is in the water on the Mississippi, the water there (Where I'm slipped) is only at or just above flood stage. My marina is 2 miles up river from the confluence of the IL. and Miss. in St. Charles. We probably won't see to much flooding till later in the spring when the big thaw comes up north.

Can anyone top this? The handle on my toilet in the house is broken and it's put together with paper clips. I don't have time to work on it cause I'm working on putting a new stereo in the boat. PRIORITIES,PRIORITIES,PRIORITIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the boat and home are pretty close for us.... this my wifes busy time of year so I have "control" of house cleaning (the boat is my regular domain). I have the house and boat on the weekly scrub down schedule <evil grin>. I normally get removed from some house cleaning duties as I "take too long".
