Hello all! I'm new here and really like this site.

In late August, we purchased this new-to-us 26' Dancer. The wife and I looked at these for quite a while before settling on this rig. I do a lot of salmon fishing in Lake Michigan and Huron and wanted an overnighter for family vacations and salmon tournament crew. I also wanted a boat with the engine under the floor for increase fishing deck space. This boat suits us perfectly. The only issue is the wet transom which is being replaced along with the stringers and other supports. The engine is also getting a full rebuild with the cylinders being bored .030 over to get a little more HP.

So here she is. The new "Getaway":

She even catches a few fishies too:grin:

By spring, she will have a new radar/fishing arch and Lowrance radar installed. This boat already proved she can catch fish, now I just need to get it fully rigged after the transoms/stringer/engine rework.

What sort of arch are you going to install?

I've been building radar arches for a few years as a hobby. I've built like 40 of them for friends and others who have heard of me. I fabricate them out of 2"od aluminum tube and add rod holders, spreader light mounts, net holders, antenna mounts etc etc. I customize them whatever someone wants.
Here is what the arch on the Sea Ray will look like:
