She arrived here at around 1200. Crappy winds were REALLY up today, so no put in......but went out and spent $$$ on gear and put stuff up and cleaned her, installed canvas bimini's and cleaned the bilge engine room.

I am the guy who posted the "does this boat look like it's sitting too far back on the trailer" thread.

The boat appeared to be cradled well. The transport driver said his truck drove fine over the 400 plus miles and there were no problems even in heavy wind and a storm that he had to pull over for. The only thing he suggested was that I should get a lowered hitch on my truck and to move the bow stop about 3 inches up.

We are taking her out for her maiden voyage tomorrow with one of the local delivery captains for a couple hours and then run it till sundown.

It's been a long journey getting this boat are we are very pleased with her and are happy to have put her in her new home today.

As always, all the people that have chimed in on this site have helped me with so many things from product knowlwdge to saving money and I am very thankful.

I'll post more after the first run.

Congratulations!! Nothing like getting a new boat. I am particularly fond of that style.

Always an exciting day. Enjoy the piss out of it! I'm stuck in cold for 6 more months, so boat like hell for me.:smt038

medic, I have to warn you about Wapo creek. The water cops patrol that creek and enforce the no wake law to a criminal level. Even though the current runs at a rate that you must throw a wake to maintain headway. Just ask me, got the ticket! Only ticket I've ever received on the water in 30+ years of boating.

Welocome aboard and happy boating! The 260 is a sweet ride. You're gonna love it. I know I love mine. :smt038

OH YEAHHHH! We are very aware of that zone. We have been boating this area for 2 years on the Bayliner and I have 2 buddies that got the same present you did. Thanks for the heads up!!
