My 23' Weekender @ Anacapa Island

Your boat looks really nice with the updates, did you do it or someone else? Also, where is the bow rail and pulpit?

About the gas, you should measure the fuel level manually some time to be sure of how much is left at the various readings. Most are off by as much as 25%. When mine says I have half a tank it is more like 2/3. When it says almost out it is more like 1/4. There was an article in Boating magazine on this this month, maybe worth a read. Either way, you'r right, a little too close!

Thanks for writing - I kept my boat on Lake Mead for many years, and removed the bow rail after one too many stumbles trying to get off the boat when beached.
When I bought the boat 6 years ago, I immediately put it on a diet:
Removed the back-to-back seats (sunburned, tattered & weighed a ton)
Removed the head compartment and added a small dinette in it's place.
Opened the cabin access by cutting the Port bulkhead down to galley level.
It really opens-up the layout - Amazingly spacious for a 23 footer.
