how much mulch did you order this year and what did you pay per yard?

40 yards so far. Something like a buck and a half per yard? I forget.

Best regards,
Frank

do you mean $1.50/yard or $150/yard?????? either number doesnt make sense but if it is $1.50, get me that guy's phone number!

Guess I remembered the price wrong. I thought it was 1.50/yd. Maybe $3/yd? Who knows? All I know was the wife was bugging me to get mulch on Saturday. So I ran to the garden center, loaded up the back of the Navigator, dumped the bags in the driveway, and headed down to get Just Ducky ready to launch. So I wasn't really paying attention. Our nephew was supposed to put it down on Sunday, which was the reason I had to waste time getting it. He didn't. Oh well.

Best regards,
Frank

Frank doesn't do yard work... ;-)

We typically put down 45 yards in the spring and another 45 yards in the fall. The dump truck holds about 15 yards so that's three truck loads.... $18.50 is what I paid about a month ago (per yard).

wholesale premium shredded hardwood bark mulch is 35.00(yd) delivered I use 20 yds.
oh dont forget the the fuel surcharge. 25.00

I do yard work; I just don't like it. I just managed to skip out on some of it because the kid wanted to make some money.

I can't get bulk, because my property is on a hill. To reach any of the beds from the driveway is a climb of 5 or 6 steps. Tough to do steps with a wheelbarrow. Therefore, I get the stuff in bags. Looks like the bags are 2 cuft, so about $14/yd for whatever crap they put into the bags

Best regards,
Frank C

Red Cypress Much, about 20 bags and an hour later I'm done, 1 time a year. Love Florida!

I bought some on sunday, 2 handfuls for the one plant I have in my apt. $2

I recently paid 11.50 a yd for triple shredded hardwood mulch. 120yds of it :smt013 Asphalt is beginning to look like a better option for me. I was layine pine straw but 400 bales 2x year was getting old quick SB

How about shredded tires, its black like asphalt, and will last forever, its bouncy and lets the water through.

:smt001 Silly!

No mulch for me, I hate it, hate it hate it. You have to replace it every frikkin year, contain it, spread it...after spending a good portion of years owning and working in the landscape design and installation field, I really dont want to see it anywhere at my house.

I will not have it at my house, I would not have it with a mouse.

Nothing says "kids go play" better than rubber smell in the heat of summer.

where i grew up (brooklyn) everything was concrete. every now and then my grandpa renato would have to hose it down or mix a small batch of quikcrete to fill a crack, but that was IT! ah, those were the days!

but alas, no concrete for me anymore. it'll be 9 yards of shredded plant byproduct, and, as with everything else in the garden state, i will over pay for each and every yard:smt089
