Moving up, down or out?

What is your next boating move?

We plan on enjoying the one we have for the next few years, but then upsizing to a 320/340, then I think we're done (he says now)

I am hoping to go to the 28 or 32 range in the next year or so. But then again who knows where we will be in that time frame. Hopefully in a much better economy. We can all dream, right...

Wish Presentation would have added to his pole....No plans on changing, happy with current boat.

Same here....no plans to change until we move to a bigger body of water with year-round boating weather. With 5 & 7 yr olds at home, we won't be moving any time soon.

We picked up the 380DA this year (repo) and are EXTREMELY pleased with it. We were looking in the 320/340 range but the deal could not be beat. I feel that we are where we would have been in 4-5 years (size wise). Best part it was the wifes idea to move up! Just wish we had a summer in Chicago this year, but there is always the hope for global warming (am I missing something?).

Next boat will be a little smaller, a Sea Ray day-cruiser again. Will use the trade $$ for waterfront property on the OH River.

We may move up a few feet but in the same style boat. That will not be for 5 or 6 years.

Lateral but away from a bridge. Similar LOA or slightly larger in order to keep a stall shower and solid stateroom doors. Would have to be a 370/380DA...

Oh, and I think I'm going to need a boat with a large enough cabin door to get the damn fridge out (my engines are a bitch to remove but the fridge is a piece of cake!)

Status Quo for as long as I can see! The retirement years might require a switch to a displacement hull like a Grand Banks or an American Tug. That is so far in the future it doesn't even count! I am going to the boat shows to check them out because I'll be able to afford the 2009 model 20 years from now!

I would like to move up but I can't justify it at this point. Maybe in 5 years or so, but right now the boat fits us for our purpose. I'd rather have a that I use vs. a bigger one that sits at the dock.

We were very lucky with our first purchase, it suits us fine, plenty of room, for 2 old folks, trailerable (if thats a word). It is a SEA RAY, so it will last forever, if properly cared for. At this time no planes to get rid of, or up grade, down grade, or go newer.

Probably going to stay right where I'm at. We have always dreamed of retiring on a boat for many years. We didn't really realize how BIG a boat would need to be for that to happen.

My 340 does everything I want right now and then some.

We're doing the boat show circuit this year with an eye on everything out there. My wife loves the Dancer style and look but wants bigger (aka space). Next boat, probably in a couple of years, will be a pilot house type of boat or mid-size trawler. No sedan bridge! We want to have two choices for piloting the boat- nice days up top, crappy days down below. Also, want something we can make extended trips on if we desired.

I still like the 43, 48, and 540 (though for that price I'm not sure that's what I would pick). It's really hard to beat the Sea Ray quality and style.

Still loving the 340 though!

We have a 38 Aft cabin. We go to Alaska with it from Vancouver area each year for 2 to 3 months. In September we use it for a month and go south of Vancouver. We are both retired. The boat is big enough for us and an other couple from time to time. We want to go to the Baja with a boat, but do not like the long open water part so in a few years will get a 29 footer with a generator and water maker and trailer it to Mexico for the winter. That is the only reason for down sizing. Since starting to go to Alaska we have managed to spend more on fuel than moorage.

I'm already out....waiting on the right deal to get back in. Moving to at least 45~46 & diesel. We want to do long range cruising and it doesn't work with gasoline. Don't mis understand...gassers have their place...just not with me for what I want to do.

We need the extra room for comfort.

We're not in a hurry...currently have other priorities...but always watching and learning.

Im thinking about getting out for awhile. I need something bigger to really enjoy it and be able to use it more (water gets rough here if the wind kicks up), but shouldn't really be spending the money on bigger right now. Im still young so Ive got plenty of time ahead when I can get back in with bigger and better, so we will see.
