Moving my boat to salt water and I have a 2015 Bravo III outdrive, should I use aluminum or zinc for my anodes. I figure my outdrive is already aluminum so go with the zinc.. Your thoughts. Thanks

I always used Zinc in salt water with Bravo 3's ..but I think over the last few years people have been leaning towards aluminum

Lots of people refer to anodes as "zincs". However, anodes are mostly magnesium, aluminum or zinc. What you use depends on what you are protecting and the associated water conditions. A Merc Bravo 3 outdrive in salt water is best protected by aluminum.

+1 Aluminum anodes for Salt Water - plus make sure the drive is well painted for protection and that there is a 1.5 inch gap around the transom assembly for the bottom paint so no paint touches. Then make sure your bonding system is intact and your mercathode system looks good.

One more thing Also, If you don't already have one, consider adding a prop anode at the end for additional protection.
