Movin on

We accepted an offer on Ciao Bella this afternoon, and this weekend will be our last weekend on the water with our 280. But, we are not giving up boating, just changing the scenery. On Wednesday our offer on a 2009 Sabre 38 Express Hardtop was accepted. The Sabre is a Down East, or Lobstah Yacht, style boat powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 450s (diesel pods). Appropriately, she is named Nun Left. And for those who know me, I finally have a boat with enough wood that I won’t have to make anything for it.

We are now both retired and want to get in some travel, so going bigger seemed like a good idea. For this summer we plan to hang around New England with plans for moving south for the winter.

So before I go, I wanted to stop in and say good bye. It’s been an experience. I know I learned a lot here, and hope I was able to help those I tried to help. Although I never expected to seriously discuss keeping a pig on a boat. I must admit I really will miss the almost inexhaustible attempts to explain and justify why a portable generator won’t, or can’t kill you. And I also will never forget those of you who sent messages of support to me while I was sick.
Congrats Henry, Give me a shout when you get down to FL
