I recently moved from Tennessee, to Florida, what do I need to do In terms of making sure my boat stays mechanically sound and keep the salty elements from deteriorating stuff,,

If you are keeping it on a trailer not really too much. After use I always washed my boat thoroughly and flushed the motor before putting it away.

If you are leaving it in the water you have a bit more to do. On my Cobalt I rigged a way to flush the motor with fresh water while it was in the water.

Your boat was built to be I salt water. Just keep it clean and waxed.

I do trailer it so I'm good there, and I wash and wax after every outing as well as flush the motor for about 10 minutes, just wanna be sure I'm doing all that is required to keep it up, cause we all know there is enough maintenance without adding to the list
thanks for the input

I flush & spray off the boat with Saltaway, pickup one of these kits for doing it with muffs. I have a system installed on ours to flush it in the water we're moored in a boathouse. I use the sprayer in the kit to spray off the boat you can watch the salt melt away.

Also switch your anodes for salt water.

ill pick one up ... Thanks

Definitely switch the anodes! Just learned this lesson the almost-hard way. The anodes were gone and erosion had started on the prop. Fortunately, we caught it early enough that the new anodes will help me avoid a major expense (for now).
