Mount External Loudspeaker - Rod Holder?

I'm trying to set up a loudspeaker 12/15", 40ish lbs on the back of my 310. I have quite a few rod holders, and I was wondering if anyone has mounted a speaker like this on their boat, and if it's possible to do it with a rod holder? It would leave room for me to move it around, and remove it easily.
