Motor boat catched fire

A 24-foot motor boat engine exploded in Newport Harbor near the Fun Zone on Monday, shaking a few of the restaurants and sportfishing shops nearby and injuring a couple who received minor burns, the Orange County Sheriff's Harbor Patrol reported.

Hard to say, but I bet they fueled the boat and tried to crank the engine without running the blowers.

At the end of the article it says:

I assume they meant "fumes".

Wow !!! Wonder if it was this guys brother in Huntington Harbor last month. This boat blew up immediately after topping off their tanks at the fuel dock.
