I feel so bad for the vessel owners. That is one worry I do not have trailering as we do.

This story says the same thing happened at the same marina 10 years ago. I think I'd be looking for another marina. I've been on Douglas many times and parts of it are like a huge wind tunnel. A storm can pop up instantly and make for a very unsafe condition if you're out there. That's one place I've learned to keep a real close eye on the radar maps and pull the plug with a very conservative berth to the weather.

We had damage at our marina during the derecho that came through WV Friday the 29th, but not as severe.
