Monkey fur/headliner alternatives

Have a Carver project boat going and ripped out the headliner.


Anybody ever do anything different, like paint, bodo/paint, truck bed liner, whatever?

I know this is an old post, but stumbled upon it while looking for paint alternatives.

When I pulled the monkey fur aka carpet off the walls, I used Flex Seal. took 2 cans of the liquid rubber. coated my walls with a nice rubberized waterproof seal.

The guy who had the boat before me, last year he replaced the whole cabin interior, professionally done (told he spent a fortune), the headliner and walls are done in a creamy leather-like material that i cant imagine is real leather but you could fool anybody looking at it. Very nice stuff.
