Went to the boat today and discovered mold on the bed sheets and a little bit above the bow Windows. Looks like where the hull joint is. I have the ac set on 70 a damp rid bag and it hasn't been too warm here lately. Could it be leaking from behind the rub rail? Should I purchase a dehumidifier?

The hull to deck joints are well sealed at the factory. THe leak is most like in one of the oval ports. When they leak, the moisture runs down behind the vinyl head liner/wall covering and ends up on, at or under the bunk.

Don't do just one, pull them all out and rebid them.

Frank,

Some mold was above the ports. I checked around the ports and they seemed dry. I laid down on the bed and noticed some mold where the vinyl meets above the port hole and the headliner. I'll post a picture. Then I noticed it on the pillows and very light on the sheets.

Your hull to deck joint is what is called a shoe box joint where the deck fits over t he hull like a shoe box top fits the bottom of the box. THere is a sealer around the joint, then screws thru the deck to hull then the rub rail fits over the deck to hull joint with more sealer under neath it. Rain and wash water would have to make its way thru 2 layers of sealer then run uphill to get in at that point, so it is very unlikely to be your water source. But, it is a boat……..anything is possible.

I'm thinking it may be the large hatch on top of the bed. It may be leaking and then dripping down to that joint...

It looks like you have the older style with portholes below the rub rail correct? If so don't rule out the rub rail, it is a common source of water leaks, there are a bunch of screws holding the rub rail pieces on....some you see, some you don't. Do a CSR search and you'll even find some pictures that give you an idea of what you could be dealing with.
